Would - Azioni ripetute nel passato
Un’alternativa più letteraria o nostalgica a «used to» per azioni ripetute nel passato, ma solo per azioni, non per stati. «Every summer we would drive to the coast.» «My grandfather would tell the same stories every Christmas.» Non può descrivere stati passati («I would be tall» è sbagliato; si usa «I used to be tall»).
